Judging Process
A Team of international and national jury members will
short list
finalist online at first stage.
At
second stage jury will meet up together to discuss
concepts in details and decide winners.
Abhijit Bansod

Prof.
P. Achutha Rao
Prof. P. Achutha Rao is currently the
Chair Holder of O P
Jindal's
Design Research Chair at National Institute of Design R&D
Campus, Bangalore.
Prof. P. Achutha Rao is a
Product Designer by profession and
holds an extensive experience of about 30 years in the areas of Product
Design & Development, Manufacturing and Innovation. He belongs to the
first batch of Product Designers from the
Industrial Design Center,
Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He has also been teaching Product
Design since the year 2000 at the Masters Level.
Prof. Rao is credited for developing the
Masters Programme
in Product Design for the
Coventry University, U. K.
delivered at
M. S. Ramaiah School of Advanced Studies, Bangalore
when he was associated with them during 2003 - 2005.
Prof. P. Achutha Rao is associated with many firsts in this country,
some of which are as follows:
- Development of the first in the world digital paper and film
processor for the publishing industries - 1986
- Development of micro-ohmmeter in 1971 for testing the quality of
welding of MIG aircraft
- Development of first pager in India in 1972

Stephane Paumier
Paumier, French architect, arrived in India 13 years back to
work as an architect for the
French Embassy in Delhi, India.
He conceived many notable projects such as the Alliance Française of
New Delhi, the Triburg Headquarters in Gurgaon, the Tarun Tahiliani Design
Headquarters in Gurgaon, the French Institute of Pondicherry, the residence
of the French Trade Commissioner in Sunder Nagar, Delhi, and the Anokhi
Museum of Hand Printing in Amber, Jaipur, the French Trade Commission for
the Govt. of France in Yaoundé, Cameroon, Africa .
Stephane Paumier, is currently designing the campus of the
OP
Jindal Global University in Sonepat, Haryana and the
Islamic
University of Science and Technology, Awantipura, Kashmir.
He holds a degree in
Industrial Design from Ecole Olivier de
Serres, National School of Applied Arts and Crafts, Paris and
completed his postgraduate degree in Architecture from the School of
Architecture of Paris-Belleville, Paris. Paumier is
Professor
of Architecture and Urban Design at the School of Planning and
Architecture, New Delhi.
Paumier has been involved in designing numerous institutional
buildings, university campuses and offices. He has done considerable
research in the field of architecture and design and has 20 publications to
his credit. He was awarded the
Young architect Prize by the Architecture
+ Design Magazine in 2003 and 2004 and the prestigious
Silver
Medal of the French Academy of Architecture in 2005.

Theo J.J Groothuizen Counselor for Design, Science and Technology
The Embassy of the Netherlands, New Delhi
Theo Groothuizen is the
Counselor for Science and Technology at
the
Netherlands Embassy, New Delhi since August 2006. After
completing his masters degree in
Industrial Design Engineering from
the Delft University of Technology, he pursued his study in architecture for
some years.
Previously, he worked for
Royal Dutch Telecom for 6 years. With his
expert design sensibilities and scope of knowledge in the field of
architecture he started running his own professional design practice. He was
co-founder of
Design Consultancy Landmark in the Netherlands (1986),
of which he became principle in 1994. He is also the founder of
Landmark
Switzerland.
In his career path, he was also an
Executive Board Member of the Dutch
Designer's Association (BNO) and the International Council of Societies of
Industrial Design (ICSID) and Convener for the Bureau of European
Designers Associations (BEDA). He is also the honorary member of BNO,
Regional Advisor for ICSID and Fellow of Design for the World.
He has delivered several lectures at top universities and was member of the
external research advisory board of the faculty of Design, Engineering and
Manufacturing at the Delft University of Technology. Known for his expertise
in design and architecture, Groothuizen was invited on numerous
occasions as speaker, workshop leader, jury member, moderator or curator. He
was instrumental in organizing several events to promote Dutch Design
worldwide. Prior, to his current assignment, Groothuizen was
professor
of Industrial Design Engineering at the Korea Advanced Institute for Science
and Technology (KAIST) in Daejeon, South Korea.
Currently, Groothuizen resides in New Delhi with his family.

Vibhor Sogani
Vibhor Sogani, an alumnus of prestigious
National Institute of
Design (NID), Ahmadabad, India. He has been one the forerunners in the
field of developing retail and brand identities. His intensive experience
with exposure to the best in the industry has helped him to achieve a firm
technical and design grounding. It was under leadership that art of crafting
steel took a shape of Lifestyle Accessories with establishment of
The
Studio, first Designer Indian Signature Brand. It is synonymous with a
collection of lifestyle accessories rich in form and bold in material usage,
adding to the pleasure of living.
Vibhor's foray into the corporate segment has been strong and decisive.
He has been credited for handling projects for industry giants like
JK
Tyres. Standardizing its showrooms countrywide with a cohesive retail
identity approach, he has executed several projects from them. He has also
developed the
first four Go-carting tracks in the country, designing
all the constituent components, promotional and interactive installations.
He went ahead with consulting an exporter, developing a range of home
accessories for the kitchen, dining, living and encompassing barbecue and
garden tools, for
TAG-USA.
Various other retail identity projects include
Pepsi Urbanwear, Adidas,
Lufthansa and Whirlpool. Vibhor has made a mark in the world of
exhibition with prestigious projects for
Ford, Jet Airways, Escorts
Yamaha and recently the 1500 sqm DRDO pavilion at the DEF EXPO '02.
With conscious approach to every detail, Vibhor Sogani's trademark is the
ability to carry through good design to good production standards.
